Do the worksheets work on any computer?
Any PC or Mac computer will be fine. A PC should have Windows 95 or higher with a minimum of 56MB Ram. A Mac should have OS 9 or OS X with a minimum of 128MB Ram. Even older computers will be OK as long as they have Acrobat Reader installed.


What program do I use to view and print the resources?
Acrobat Reader 5, 6, 7 and 8. This program is FREE and comes in versions for both PC and Mac.

Can I print the worksheets on any printer?
Yes. Any home or commercial inkjet or laser printer will print the worksheets.


Can I sample some worksheets before signing up?
Unfortunately, we no longer offer sample worksheets because this system was being abused.  You may browse and view all the worksheets on our extensive Worksheet Database free of charge to determine if the content meet your needs.  Worksheets will only be available for download once you have signed up for a specified subscription period.

Is it necessary to print the worksheets in colour?
The majority of the worksheets have been primarily designed in black and white so that they can be printed at home or at school. Some of the worksheets have small colour graphics to make them more "child friendly". If you don't want to print in colour, simply select the black and white or greyscale option on your printer settings when printing. The quality of the worksheets will remain the same.

Can I get a refund once I have signed up?
Refunds are not given by Visual Learning for Life since these are download items. Once you sign up you are able to download all the files to your computer. Please make use of our Free Sample Worksheets option before you order to determine if the content of the Visual Learning for Life Worksheet Database meet your needs.

Can I copy/reproduce the sheets?
If you hold an account with Visual Learning for Life, you may print out as many copies as you need to use with your students at school, in your practice or with your children at home. You may not share the worksheets with others to use in their homes, practices or school classrooms. All copies must include the Visual Learning for Life copyright notice.


Do schools/organisations need a specific site license?
Schools/organisations do not require a specific site license.  The teacher/professional who has subscribed as a single licence user is free to use the worksheets within the purchasing establishment but may not give the worksheets or her log in details to other teachers to use.  If more than one teacher/professional within a school or organisation would like to use the worksheets, they will need to create their own account and log in details.

Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Purchase orders are accepted from schools/organisations in the UK and the USA only. You will need to provide an official purchase order number in order to make use of this option. Please follow these steps to submit your Purchase Order.

*Select the subscription period that you would like (3, 6 or 12 months)
*Enter any discount or promotional codes if applicable
*Select the purchase order option
*Fill out your account information together with your purchase order number.
*Once your purchase order form has been submitted online, you will be emailed an invoice. Please print this out and submit it to your local authority for payment.
*You will receive a confirmation email to notify you when your account has been activated. This will only take place once your payment has cleared.

If you are a UK School/Organisation, you can also submit your Official Purchase Order by post, fax or e-mail. Visual Learning for Life can only accept post/fax/e-mail Official Orders from Schools with a United Kingdom address.

Can I give the worksheet files to another teacher?
You may not share the files you have downloaded or worksheets that you have printed out with another teacher.  If more than one teacher/professional within a school or organisation would like to use the worksheets, they will need to create their own account and log in details.


Why are there UK and USA versions for certain worksheets?
Some words, such as color and colour, have different spellings. The pdf documents for these worksheets will contain two worksheet versions, one with UK English spelling and one with US English spelling.

Can I select the currency in which my payment is processed?
Payments can be processed in British Pound (GBP), Euros (EUR), US Dollars (USD), Australian Dollars (AUD) and South African Rand (ZAR). When you Sign Up, you will need to select your country of residence in order to view the subscription prices in your currency. Countries which aren't specifically linked with one of the above-mentioned currencies will be quoted in US Dollars. Please note that your payment will be rejected if your country of residence does not align with the address that your debit/credit card is registered in.


I have paid online so what happens now?
After completing your payment you will receive a confirmation e-mail confirming your username and password. You can access your account immediately following payment using these Log On details.

What features and functionality does My Account give me access to?
Your account gives you access to the following features and functionality:

  • My Personal Details - Here you can update any changes to your contact details, billing address and mailing address. You can also change your log in details.
  • My Subscriptions - This section details your subscription type as well as the date your subscription expires. You will also be able to find information here regarding the number of worksheets you have left to download from your allocated quota within any given month.
  • My Worksheets - you are now able to select all your favourite worksheets and save them in your own personalised "My Worksheets" folder. Simply browse the worksheet database and click "Add to My Worksheets" when you see a worksheet you would like to use. Click "Review and download" once you have finished your browsing. You will be directed to the My Worksheets section of your account. You can sort the worksheets in this folder according to areas, levels or the date they were added. Select the worksheets you would like to print and click download. You can add as many worksheets as you like to My Worksheets over your subscription period.
  • My Downloads - You can also view the worksheets you have already downloaded and download them again if necessary. You can sort the worksheets in this folder according to areas, levels or the date they were downloaded. If you download the worksheets again from this section, they will not be clocked against your monthly download quota.
  • My Checklist Reports - this is a summary of the reports that have been generated from the Online Checklists you may have completed. If you are a teacher or professional, you can store checklists for each of the children in your class or on your case load.
